I am working my way from a long and rewarding career as a veterinary surgeon to my dream of being a curator at the National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh. As a vet my first great love was Ophthalmology, a highly visual subject. My second was Feline Medicine. My cats are constant companions in my home studio.

I studied Art and Design at Access level at York School of Art  learning many exciting processes. I found new passions and obsessions along the way. Discovering a love of print making and surface pattern led me to embark on a degree in Graphic Design and Communication. Communication was a huge part of my role as a vet. Graphic Design has introduced me to numerous fascinating new skills and techniques.
